You have an obsession...with cords...exactly the thing that babies are not supposed to play with. But every morning when Mommy gets out of the shower, you immediately ask me to open my cupboard so you can grab the hairdryers and curling irons. And off you go, with about 3-4 in your hands to the return air vent in the living room. You know which type of cords stay best in the vent when you "plug them in". And I take no blame or credit for this little game you play-you thought it up all on your own. You are one who likes to figure out what goes together. And since you know you are not allowed or able to actually plug things into outlets, you came up with this idea. Not Mommy's favorite thing you do, but you are just so obsessed with cords! It is something I have given into. It all started with the vacuum actually. You loved to see Mommy plug in the vacuum to turn it on. We have had many conversations about how you know that the cord goes into the outlet. I just say, "Yes, that's the vacuum cord. Yes, that's called an outlet. Yes, you are right, the cord goes into the outlet. But no, Baby, we are not going to plug it in right now...I know you want to, but we are not going to vacuum right now. I'm sorry, don't get so sad. Mommy just got up and it's 7 am Camden. I don't want to vacuum!" (But some times you have actually magically got me to vacuum at 7 am against my will. Not really sure how that happens, but it does). Anyway, that is your cord story. It is a funny one I hope you enjoy hearing when you get older.
