It has been quite the month! We started it off with a trip to the cabin for the Fourth of July. We took your walker so you could try it out on the new driveway, you had your first real bites of watermelon, and practice your walking around the cabin. When we got back home, much of the Scott family arrived from California and Seattle for your Great Grandpa Dick's funeral. We spent several days visiting with this family that you have never met before. And at the beginning of the month we knew you were going to start walking very soon, but we had no idea how quickly it would change EVERYTHING we do! You are so happy to have so much freedom, but it also means that we have to keep a closer eye on you. You finally decided to start saying, "Da-Da!" We took our first trip to Seattle with you, well, to Bothell actually for Aunt Tess' surprise party. You did so great in the car both ways, and so great the whole trip. You even got better acquainted with your Grandpa Frank. You would see him from across the room, point at him, and say, "MMMM," which means you wanted to see him. It was great to see you finally decide you are comfortable with your Grandpa. You are adjusting to drinking cows milk-still not super fond of it-you prefer juice-but you are finally starting to transition. And you are almost sleeping through the night. You actually have a few times lately (but somehow Mommy is still super tired). And last but not least, we have been teaching you the words yes and no. Mommy will say to you, "Camden, are you tired? Yes?," and you will nod your head yes. You are really comprehending so much now, if you could speak all the words you know you would have quite a large vocabulary. What an eventful July!
