Four Months Old

Oh my goodness! Look who is getting so big! Four months have already passed! Hard to imagine. This last month there were not a ton of new developments, but you are continuing to perfect some from last month like grabbing. You now know how to tell your hand to move toward the thing you want to touch or hold. (No more batting towards it, just a nice smooth movement). You also do a great job when you are on your belly! You can hold your head up so well for a long time now. One really fun thing that you just started is laughing when we tickle you on the belly or the ribs, or nibble on your neck or fingers. And you love to laugh when we suspend you in the air above us. Hearing your laughter and seeing you smile are surely two of the most wonderful things on this earth! You have just recently started taking a nap at 5:30 pm-which is quite funny since you are usually ready for bedtime at 7pm. You seem to be getting better with car rides again. We sure went through a tough time for a while. And Mommy even got to sit in the front with Daddy recently! You really like to kick your feet and grab your wash cloth (and chew on it of course) while in the bath. You still love your elephant mobile. It will be a sad day when you outgrow it. We just love to see you react to it when we wind it up. And you recently found that you can push the buttons with your feet on your crib soother toy. You HATE having shirts put over your head. You know when I am about to, and you get a funny look on your face. Mommy feels bad-there is just no easy way to do it! Your hair continues to go through stages of coming in in one area and falling out in another. But it is thickening on top and getting pretty dark. You moved in to size 2 diapers, and you weigh 14 pounds 4 ounces around the middle of September. This month we bought your Halloween costume, a binky strap, and bookcase for your room. And your new nickname: King of Drool-I think you are at the beginning stage of teething because of all the drooling and chewing you are doing. Fun. And can I just say how happy of a baby you are! I think there are many days where you really don't cry at all. You are just so easy going and we love your happy little personality!
