Today we had visitors. Grandpa Terry, Grandma Carol, Aunt Heather, Ethan and Rylan all came over for a little visit. We have not gotten together with them since before Christmas. So I thought that getting you together this time with Rylan, we might see some interaction...but no. You ran around in your walker as he watched, but you are just not to the age of playing together yet I guess. But I look forward to the day you do-it is so cool that your two cousins close in age live so close by!

Birthday Buddies
Bath Baby!
Just for fun...it's bath baby! Did you know that we have a bath routine? Bath day is every Sunday and Wednesday (and I guess we will have to add another day in there when you get a little older and start to lose that sweet baby smell). I never would have thought I would live on such a schedule with you. But it really is helpful because being a new, tired Mommy is not always easy-your brain does not always remember things like when you were bathed last. Anyway, you love your bath time. We still use your infant tub, and you always have a few toys in there to play with. You have never been one to complain about the bath, but you have never been one to complain about much at all. (Hopefully we will be able to keep that up). Love you and your cute little wet head.
Ten Months Old
What a memorable ninth month we had! It was full of 3 not so fun trips to the doctor. Well, the first of the 3 was not so bad-it was just your nine month check up. No shots this time, so that was good. But we did spend a lot of time with the doctor talking about your height and weight because it turns out that you're only in the fourth percentile for weight! And your percentile continues to fall at each check up. I promise we have never starved you, you just seem to be a very tall and thin baby. Your next visit was to meet a g.i. specialist to try to figure out why you have been vomiting for the past 3 months without reason. We had to go through some not so fun tests with you there that day, and also found out that we would be taking you next to Sacred Heart's radiology department to have a stomach emptying study done to see if that could be the problem. So, that day we had a radioactive baby! They gave you this fluid along with formula that they could see on an x-ray type machine to see if your food digests slowly, or within a normal time period. This whole experience was stressful for all 3 of us. It was stressful for Mommy because we were not made aware of the fact that you would have to stay strapped down to a table for a full hour to complete the study. It was also stressful because you were supposed to eat a full bottle quickly in order to start the study. But you did not feel like taking the bottle. And it was stressful for you because you had to lay on that table with a x-ray machine 6 inches from your face for the full hour. You did well for the most part, but cried for a while towards the end. And it was stressful for your Daddy because he had to deal with both of us feeling stressed. The good news from all of this is that there is not anything popping up wrong. But the bad news is that means we have to continue to try to figure out what this could all be caused by.
We did really enjoy the visit from Tess and family. You enjoyed it too. It took you a little while to warm up to everyone, but after an hour or so you were being yourself, running around and yelling a lot.
The weather has been starting to get a little more springy-so Mommy decided to try to take you outside on the patio in your walker. And...YOU LOVED IT! Back and forth across the patio you would run. We cannot spend a lot of time out there yet because it is still too cold, but you did enjoy it so much that as soon as we came inside, you were looking out the window again!
You are just such an awesome baby. I have to say it over and over because even though I spend each day with you, it still blows my mind all of the time how much I love you, how fun you are, and how much I just love being your Mommy. We spend so much time together and I just feel so close to you. And as you get older and I get to know you more and more, my love for you just keeps growing. And you obviously love me and your Daddy too because you are always so happy to be with us, give us lots of loves, and enjoy playing with us. Thank you so much for filling our days with so much happiness!

Grandma's 5 Boys
Count em...5 boys! All Grandma Jacquie's boys. It was the first time that all 5 have been together. Aunt Tess, Uncle Wyatt, and the boys came to visit and meet new baby Ezra. Boon and Hudson were at your side almost the entire time. They wanted to watch you get your diaper changed, they wanted to watch you play, eat your dinner, and they even wanted to watch you have your quiet time. (The quiet time you needed because they were at your side the whole time). But they just love you so, and they are really enjoying you now that you are getting older and you can play with them more. It was a great visit-5 boys and all!

Your New Bunny
While at Target Mommy spotted this super cute fuzzy bunny. Mommy may have made a mistake by letting you hold it for a little while, because when it was time to put it back, you did not want to! Mommy said to you, "Do you need to take the bunny home?" And you answered with a big head nod to say YES! How could a Mommy say no to that?

Lately You...
Lately you love to hold your tooth paste while I brush your teeth. You never noticed before now that Elmo is on the tube, and when I first showed him to you, you laughed. Lately you want to hold and eat the phone and tv remotes. You get so sad when I wont let you. Lately you are getting better about how you pet Harley. You don't seem to be pulling at his ears, whiskers, and tail as much as you used to. And he thanks you for it. Lately you get so scared when we try to go through a drive thru or a car wash-the noises of both frighten you. Lately you just don't get to see your Daddy enough. He has been working late into the evening and sometimes does not make it home before you go to bed. Lately you love sitting up in the shopping cart when we go places. You can see so much of what is going on up there and you always watch for and get very excited when we spot some balloons. Lately you roll right over to your back when we put you on your tummy. Lately you want me to chase you around the kitchen when you are in your walker. Lately you have been waking up less in the middle of the night, but I am sure that wont last for long. Lately you have been very interested in door knobs and drawer knobs. You love to pull the door knob to your closet over and over, or the knob on your dresser drawer so you can pull all the clothes out. Lately you want to have a drink of whatever Mommy has in her cup-just so you can drink out of her cup. Lately you love to stand on the couch and watch the mail truck deliver the mail. Then you love to head outside with Mommy to get the mail. You know all of this by the words "mail truck". Lately your favorite place to play is sitting on the floor with a small box full of toys that you can dump out and sort through. Lately you will not keep a hat on your head. That's because Mommy tried a baseball hat on you-you are only used to knit/sweater hats. And I guess that trying the baseball cap just ruined the whole thing for you. Lately you get so excited when you hear the garage door-you know it means that Daddy is home and he is about to come up the stairs. Lately you like to listen to music when you eat-bopping your head the while time. Lately you have been doing all of these things that just make us love you more and more!
Stealing Mommy's Towels
You are so silly! One of your favorite things to do as soon as I put you in your walker is to run straight over to the stove and take my hand towel. You hold it the whole time you are running around playing. It kills me a little to see my brand new ones being dragged under the wheels, but how can I take it away when you love it so?

Every. Single. One.
I love them all. Every single one. Your every mood, your every expression. I love to capture them all on camera too. Because it shows who you are. I want to be able to remember someday what you looked like even when you are crying. I want to be able to remember every moment. Because every moment with you is so special. And these photos will help me never forget.
