You and I-we are buddies. We are playmates. We have our own jokes. You can make me laugh and I can make you laugh harder. Sometimes we just look at each other and we start to laugh! I really did not know I would do such silly things sometimes to make you laugh-I never thought I would be such a silly Mommy. But I love it! We have such fun! You are such a joy, some days I just cannot believe you are mine.

We Laugh
You and I-we are buddies. We are playmates. We have our own jokes. You can make me laugh and I can make you laugh harder. Sometimes we just look at each other and we start to laugh! I really did not know I would do such silly things sometimes to make you laugh-I never thought I would be such a silly Mommy. But I love it! We have such fun! You are such a joy, some days I just cannot believe you are mine.
Today You Were Happiest When....
You were happiest when you had a spatula to chew on and were surrounded by tissue paper that you could shake, crinkle, and bunch up.
And you were happiest when you had my vitamin bottle and coffee creamer to carry around in your walker with you.
Lately you are happiest when you have something new to play with. And that something can really be almost anything. If it is something you have not seen before, you have to have it to check out. So, even with all of the new toys you just received for Christmas, you still love random items from around the house even more.

Penguin Polos
Daddy loves the Penguin Brand polos. So years ago we found out that they had them for babies...and we bought one. Years ago. (Some know, some don't know that Mommy had bins and bins of beautiful clothes stashed away for her little one years before Mommy and Daddy were even married.) So we bought one in hopes that our little baby could one day wear it when Daddy wore his. So, here we are! My two boys in their super cool, trendy, and stylish Penguin polos!

First Trip To McDonald's
This morning you and Daddy got up bright and early to meet Grandpa and Grandma at McDonald's for breakfast. It was your first time visiting McDonald's, and your first time in a restaurant high chair. From the look of these pictures, you took your trip quite seriously! But Daddy insists that you had a fun time hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa and watching all the people. It was also a great little break for Mommy to have some alone time. Daddy hopes to continue to take you to meet up with Grandma and Grandpa at McDonald's on a regular basis.

A Glimpse
You Hate Tummy Time
I just have to take a second to say how much you dislike being on your tummy! Or your back, or any laying position these days! It is very rare that we see you like this. Anytime you play on your blankie on the floor it is always sitting up. Anything you do has to be done sitting or standing. You say laying is for little babies not big babies like yourself. So, we are a little worried you will completely pass up rolling, scooting, then crawling-none of which you have really learned to do yet. Straight to walking for you I am sure!
The Too-fer
There it is-can you see it!? Your first little tooth! (We have nicknamed it a too-fer.) We had no idea that you were even cutting a tooth! You never complain much about anything, so there was no real clue that this little thing was about to pop up. But there is was one morning-I could not believe it! How can you do this to Mommy? You made me cry when I first saw it. How can time be going so fast that you are already getting teeth? Big babies have teeth. What happened to my tiny little newborn? And I love your gummy smile-so no teeth yet! Okay?

Your Tooth Brush
You cut your first tooth recently! Whoo-hoo, yeah!!! So cute, but it actually made Mommy cry when she found that little white strip along your gum line one morning. How can you be getting so big so fast? Teeth!? Pretty soon you will be walking and talking and that will take me by surprise too. So, we have a new regimen to brush your one tooth and gums twice daily, and also the doctor prescribed you a fluoride treatment. So, Mommy now has two more things to add to her already busy day, but so far we are keeping up with it. And you love having your teeth brushed. You see your tooth brush and get all excited. You are actually sad when I am finished and we have to put it away.
