Today You Used a Sippy Cup!
Mommy is so excited to announce that you are starting to use a sippy cup! Drinking out of a cup has been something you have been interested in for a while-you see our cups and you want them! So this morning when I was drinking my coffee and were so interested I decided it was time. You were so excited when you realized that I was actually going to let you hold the cup. And you did this cute thing with your mouth to try to suck the formula out of it. You did a great job with that part, but you did not realize that you also had to swallow it after it was in your mouth. So we had formula dripping all down your chin and onto your p.j.'s but that's ok because you were having so much fun!

You Love When We Walk You
It all started back a few months ago when you became interested in following the kitties. We would hold under your arms to help you walk towards them. You have become so good at walking faster and more steadily. You don't know it yet, but we just bought you a walker as an early Christmas present. We know you are going to love the freedom to move as you please. I know that this will just help you further figure out this whole walking business. So watch out kitties-you don't know what you have coming!

Your First Snowfall
Well, your first winter is looking to be a white one! It is only November and we have already seen over a foot of snow accumulate on our deck! You have not been out in it but have seen it through the windows. I wonder what you think of that fluffy stuff falling from the sky. I cannot help but imagine you as a little boy playing out in it making snowmen and snow angels. I really look forward to the snowy winters of the future with you.

We Love You In Just Your Bodysuit
Just had to take a minute so show off those chubber thighs you have...ohhh!...and those chubber ankles!...and those super chubber wrists! Yummy! Ever since we started you on solids you have chunked up a little and we love it! Nothing better than seeing you in your solid white bodysuit, that's for sure!

Thankgiving
What a wonderful Thanksgiving we had this year! It was spent at Grandma and Grandpa's. It was just the 5 of us-nice and low key. While we had great turkey that Grandma made, you ate your baby food sweet potatoes and peas. There was plenty of time for visiting, playing, and just sitting around watching you!

Six Months Old!
We cannot believe it has been half a year since you entered the world! Time really does go fast with a baby, and we knew it would...we just did not know it would go quite as fast as it has. You are not longer that little eight pound newborn we first brought home from the hospital. You have grown into this little-big baby full of personality, humor, and love. You want to do things that we do like eat, drink, and walk. You know words like daddy, kitty, Ranger, plus many more. You love to play in your saucer for long periods of time. And I don't even have to sit there while you play-you are becoming such a big boy! We have so enjoyed watching you grow and learn over these first six months and look forward to the next six amazing months...and many more.

You Want What We Have
Well, the day has come...you are interested in Mommy's coffee cup...and fork...and food. You now recognize what food is and you are very interested when we are eating. As soon as you see us lift a cup to our mouths you try to grab it and drink from it too. It is quite cute actually. It makes me realize that I've got to hurry and get you a cup of your own!

Blurry But Cute
I had to try to capture you in your saucer today. You would just spin around and around laughing and squealing! You were playing so happily! But I could not even get one good picture because you were moving so much. They did turn out blurry, but it is still easy to see the good time you were having-you happy baby you!
You Just Love Those Kitties!
You get so excited when you see or hear one of these two fuzzy critters nearby. You have loved them for months now. But they still don't love you quite the same. So I usually put you on the floor on your belly a good distance away from Ranger so you can get a good look at him. It is the only way he does not feel threatened by you and run away. You are on his level now-and he can relax... but for just a second until you start to jabber at him and off he goes. Harley on the other hand is getting used to you and will actually come and check on you if you are crying. He comes toward you slowly and gets right up near your face. It is quite sweet. And he lets you pet him now. Once in a while he even meows at you or rubs against you. I think Ranger still has a long way to go, but I think in a few months you and Harley are going to be good buddies!
