We just bought you this classic Fisher-Price xylophone for Christmas and I have to say-you have already mastered it! Because you are the smartest little baby around! (No offence to those other smartest little babies around!) With the xylophone in your lap, you hold the stick sideways to hit the keys. You sure thought it was cool the first time you realized that YOU were making the sound. Sure, you have not figured out how to play Twinkle, Twinkle yet, but we thought it was pretty amazing that you figured out a way that works for your little baby self to play this thing!

Merry Christmas
Finding what Santa left for you in your stocking.
Giving your new gifts a taste test.
Sitting with your gift from Santa! he brought you a record player music box.
Our little family all in Christmas pj's.
Hanging out with Grandpa while Hudson entertains you.
And more entertainment thanks to cousins Boon and Hudson!
What a fun, magical, exciting Christmas this was! All thanks to you, sweet baby boy! We had a wonderful morning at home unwrapping presents and spending time together. Then we headed to visit with all the family at Grandma and Grandpa's house. You were finally well enough to play with your cousins, who you LOVED! At one point you put your arms around Boon's neck, and rested your head against his-the cutest, sweetest hug ever! Then Hudson had to have a turn and you did the same for him. They both loved your sweet lovey snuggles! What a Christmas this was. It was so wonderful to get to see your reactions to things like opening gifts, seeing family, and enjoying the Christmas tree. We of course very much look forward to the next holiday season with you and making more wonderful memories.

Seven Months Old
You may not guess by looking at these sweet photos of our happy boy, but he is still sick! And life is so busy that I am actually finally blogging these photos a whole month past this date! I usually sit down and write out what he has been up to, new developments, etc., but I did not do it at seven months so now I honestly cannot remember what he started doing when. See, this blog is just as much for me as the rest of you. Motherhood has made my life fly by, it is hard to even remember yesterday let alone events from a whole month ago. But our baby is growing, that is for sure! His arms were long enough this month to reach and touch both arms of the rocking chair-what a shock that was. And he is still as happy as ever. We really could not ask for a better baby, maybe just a little more sleep and down time would be nice once in a while. But we continue to celebrate each and every moment with this sweet, sweet little boy.
Our Sick Baby
There are no fun photos to post today, for we have a very sick baby at our house. Tuesday was the last day you felt well (and thank goodness, otherwise we may have not made it to see Santa this year). Wednesday Daddy went out to finish his Christmas shopping and during that time you became very fussy and clingy. Mommy was not getting anything done since you would not let me put you down. So, I sat it the rocker with you and you fell asleep. When you woke up, I realized that you had quickly gotten a fever. Well no wonder you were so fussy! I took your temperature as you continued to feel worse and worse. The rest of the day was about keeping your 100 plus fever down, and comforting you through your first sickness. You are close to seven months old and we have been able to avoid you getting sick your whole little life so far. What a lot of work to have such a sick baby. And boy was Mommy glad that Daddy was home to help because you have wanted to be held every second, you cry hard when we have to lay you down for a diaper change, and we did not sleep at all the last few nights as we tried to figure out how to hold you through the night while we tried to catch a few zzz's and getting up to give you your tylenol every 3 hours. We ended up taking you in to the doctor today because you continue to have a fever with no other real symptoms. And it was while we were at the doctor that your fever really spiked to it's highest of 103.3 degrees! As soon as the doctor flashed a light in your mouth, we saw that you had broken out in cold sores all in your mouth and throat. You were also starting to develop a fever rash over your legs and belly. We were told that you may continue to run a fever for another several days, and we were so disappointed to hear that since Aunt Tess and family were arriving in town today. But we knew that although we really wanted to visit them, that taking care of you at home was best. So we will continue on with our regimens of fever reducing medications and rest. And hopefully you will recover enough by Christmas day to enjoy some of the festivities.

Kick Off To Christmas
Today is Tuesday-and we are hanging out with Daddy! How is that? Because yesterday he officially started his vacation! Yeah! We have been so very busy this whole month that we have not had the chance to go see Santa. So, today was the day. We headed downtown, sat on the Jolly Old St. Nick's lap for a photo, headed to Rocky's for some lunch, and did a little shopping. It was a wonderful day, and the real kick off to our week long Christmas celebration.

Christmas Cruise
To celebrate Christmas, Grandpa Terry and Grandma Carol invited us to go on the Lake Coeur d'Alene Christmas cruise with them. We had a quick dinner at their house before heading downtown to set sail. What a cool cruise! There were many characters like Frosty, Rudolph, and the Grinch awaiting us on the boardwalk. As you head down the boardwalk you also see the many light displays along the the water which were so pretty reflecting off of the lake. The cruise took us out to Santa's workshop, where we stop, and all of the passengers head out to the front of the boat where you can hear Santa read off all the names of the children on board who are on his "good" list. Then as we head back to shore, there is a huge light show accompanied by music. You, Baby Camden, did not really get any of what was going on until the very end when all the lights began to flash. You watched in awe, not making a peep. In a few years we will have to head out to see Santa again when you can understand more of what is happening. But what a fun time, and great to spend it with Grandpa, Grandma, and your cousins.

Celebrating With Christmas Binkies
There's quite a little story to these festive binkies. Mommy had been wondering if there was such a thing as holiday binkies, and then she was them advertised in a magazine and was so excited that she had to hunt them down! This was originally weeks before Christmas, but they were all ready selling out online. After a bunch of hunting, she finally found them for you and ordered them up. But when they arrived a few days later they were the wrong style! And these ones had sold out between that time. So Mommy was so sad! It just was not going to be right without the binkies that she had so been looking forward to! But after searching online again, Mommy was able to track down the correct ones. And they FINALLY arrived in the mail today! Aren't they cute! Santa is printed on the red one and Rudolph is on the green. They are going to be great in all of our holiday photos of you...and they were defiantly worth the wait.

Spending Time With Daddy
Today you and Daddy got to hang out together for almost the whole day while Mommy had a cookie making day. You had such fun spending the day with him. You really do not get to see him much these days because he has been so busy with work. But whenever he is around you are super happy! And you give him kisses continuously! I am so glad that you think your Daddy is such a cool guy and that you love him so very very much!

This One's For You Grandma!
Camden says:
Dear Grandma Jacquie, you thought at first that I was not too fond of you because I would cry when you held me. But now I know you better and think you are pretty great! I love to snuggle with you and I like when you make me laugh. I am even starting to get what Mommy says when she says, "Grandma!" Thank you for being such a good grandma and loving me so much. And tell Grandpa ditto-cause I love him too!

Celebrating December
Today was another day to celebrate! We just got your high chair in the mail, so we had to test it out. Cool isn't it? Does it scream Mommy or what? White molded plastic with orange accents could not be any more perfect!
And what an exciting time! We are actually going through with putting up the Christmas tree this year! We have been treeless for years now due to Harley Kitty and how he eats and climbs the tree. But he has been really good so far at leaving the undecorated tree alone and so we have decided to continue on with decorating! Yeah! Having a tree is a very important part of celebrating Camden's first Christmas.
Posing for a quick picture.

Kisses For Rudolph
Your New Walker
Good Morning Sleepy Boy! We have an early Christmas gift for you! Say hello to your walker! You have mastered the saucer and we thought it was time to introduce you to another way to play while standing up (since you think standing is just about the best thing ever!). And this one is cool cause it is all about walking! We put you in it and you figured out pretty quickly how to move your little legs to get this thing going! And the first thing you did when we put you in it was chase after Harley who made the mistake of coming to check out what you were up to! Our living room has already been taken over by your toys and gear and I am sure that we will be keeping the kitchen table pushed up against the wall to give you enough space to get around. Merry Christmas Baby Boy-enjoy your new toy!

Something About Elephants
There is something going on here. Something going on involving elephants. These cute animals keep appearing in our lives. First we found you a wooden elephant toy while on our trip to Disneyland before you were born. Then Auntie Tess throws you a shower with an elephant theme. And we chose an elephant themed crib set for your room. Years earlier I put away a few special outfits for my future baby boy-most with elephant detailing. Then there is this cute blanket buddy. We also bought him for you before you were born, and just got him out for you to play with. And of course...you love him! We have another one almost exactly like it that is a blue bear and you are not nearly as excited about that one as this. There is something going on here involving elephants. I guess we should just look at them as being your good luck charm.
